Number first, core second, brand never

If a shop picks a model and then measures to justify it, they have the order backwards. We write the 64ths before anyone opens a catalog.

1. Glove off. Cadet or regular noted if you actually play one.
2. Palm on the pine board, fingers quiet, no splay performance.
3. Caliper across the first crease, not the knuckles, not the wrist.
4. Second pass rotated 15 degrees to catch a wide heel pad.
5. 64ths written. Core pulled. Dry wrap. You hold a club that is not yours yet.
6. If the crease still prints, we add or peel tape. We do not shrug.

The whole pass is forty minutes if the hands are simple. Winter hands take longer because we wait for the pink to come back before we trust the first number. Steam heat in 17101 makes a liar of anyone who rushes.
